Lo-Fi Saint Louis Interview

One of the best video sites on the tubes of the internet is Bill Streeter’s Lo-Fi Saint Louis. Cool concert video (and other culture related stuff too) from around the St. Louis area. I’m subscribed in Google Reader and never miss it.

A web site call St. Louis Recruiting has posted a nice interview with Bill - check it out as this is a good intro to the work Bill is doing.

After that subscribe to Lo-Fi Saint Louis!

Killola

They’re from LA and this is a band you need to get into. Cool video for their song I Don’t Know Who - and this is just one of those songs you can’t get out of your head!

Oh yeah - be sure and hit up Killola on MySpace.

England Rocks Map

This is too cool. A very useful site called England Rocks.

This is what the hip internet folks call a “mashup”. You click on the landmarks on the map and get information on famous rock and roll landmarks in England.

Here’s Syd Barrett’s last residence in Cambridge:

Bono’s Business Empire

Bono

I normally concentrate on the independent side of the music business, but this article is fascinating…at the fairly highbrow Bloomberg too. Details of the business empire of Bono (and U2 to a certain extent)…

These are some smart guys - and this is an example to me of how all successful musicians should run their business.

“U2 are arch-capitalists—arch-capitalists—but it looks as if they’re not,” says Jim Aiken, a music promoter who helped stage U2 concerts in Ireland during the 1980s and ’90s.

Question Mark and the Mysterian’s Personal Tragedy

The home of ? of the legendary band ? and the Mysterian’s has burnt down - apparently he lost everything…equipment, gold records and other memorabilia. Just goes to show how lucky most of us are on a daily basis.

? posted a video describing his loss. Thought I’d share that with you:
